Strengthening Education across Communities

Whilst our scholarships support individual students, our wider initiatives are designed to improve the quality of education for entire communities.

Providing Mock Examinations

Mock examinations are a vital part of preparing for national exams, helping students build confidence, identify gaps in learning, and experience exam conditions before the real assessments. However, many schools simply cannot afford the cost of administering them.

To address this, MSP funded mock examinations for 860 students across 13 primary schools within the Njewa Zone, giving students the opportunity to better prepare for their National Standard 8 Examinations and improve their chances of progressing to secondary education.

Teacher Incentive Award

Behind every successful student is a dedicated teacher. In Malawi, many teachers work in extremely challenging conditions — facing overcrowded classrooms, limited resources, and low pay — yet continue to show extraordinary commitment to their students.

To recognise and celebrate this dedication, MSP introduced the Teacher Incentive Award. The award recognises the top-performing school within the zone, with teachers receiving a shared cash prize alongside a trophy awarded to the school.

By rewarding excellence and acknowledging the hard work of educators, the initiative aims to motivate teachers, raise standards, and reinforce the vital role teachers play in transforming young lives through education
